Concrete Top Question

This may not be answerable on this forum but I thought I would give it a shot:

I want to build a table for storage of egg supplies.  The unit would be built out of decorative concrete blocks (7" wide by 6" high by 16" long) with two sides and a back wall.  The front would be left open because I want to build a wood insert (cabinet) that would actually store the supplies.

The top would be a poured 2" thick concrete that would sit on the two side walls and the back wall.  I am worried that the top could crack though if it isn't supported on the front.  The estimated size of the concrete top would be 36" by 60".  I have no clue how to determine if this top would be capable of supporting itself without cracking.  There will not be any significant weight put on the concrete top.

Any advice would be appreciated.
