After wanting an Egg for a year, then waiting a month to use it. I decided to use it today to do "Turbo Ribs"! The temp control was challenging at first, but once I got it to stay steady around 350 I put a rack of spare and a rack of baby backs on. My total cook time was about 2 1/2 hours, no wrap, no spritz just an hour bones down and an hour bones up. I can say all the information provided on the forum was well worth it because my first time cooking ribs came out GREAT!!!!!!! I even trusted the "Bounce test" the ribs didn't "fall off the bone" but had just the right tug to them!!!

Great first cook...I am also fairly new to the Egg...I am now starting to get confident with temps, my only advice is to catch the Temp on the way up,rather than trying to get it down.. Welcome and enjoy!!!Greensboro North Carolina

Way to jump in. Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Ribs are a fav @ me casa.
Glad to have you. Hope you will be soon psychotic, alcoholic, addicted to Cigars and Smoke from all sources. Soon you will be buying "wood" ...
Just to throw it in there, try wrapping your plate setter in Al foil so it stays pristine.
@Henapple will fill you in.
