Butt Naked Turbo Style- 1st Butt Cook

Here's my plan. Please help me tweak it.
8# bone in.
Rub applied immediately before cooking - no previous prep
Inject / no inject ???
expecting ~6-8 hrs / when bone pulls free
350 Dome indirect
No foiling intended until FTC for 1 hr.
Can I slice or do I have to make pulled pork ????

    Sounds like a great plan. Bone should be loose around 205 it. No need to inject, personal preference. You can pull at those temps, slice if you have a sharp knife, otherwise it will fall apart.

    Just a few chunks of wood, a little goes a long way.

    This is how I do it. Think you may be done before your guess. TURBO BUTTS. · Hot'n fast, 350 for 5 hours to internal to 200 and then let it rest for an hour or so wrapped in towels in a ice chest. Falls apart and oh so good! Have fun! · Be sure you only get a 7lb butt or so for the time (or a couple for more protein ) . Note: The butt box is not required. I use mustard & Bad Byron's Butt Rub (both not required). I put on the rub, then mustard, then rub once more.
    Salado TX Egg Family: 2 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max (I'm good for now).

    @mickey if you referenced a link it did not come through for me. Butt box ???? OK.... 2-7# era sounds good to me. A man can never have too much .....

    @sumoconnell.....thanks. I prefer to slice. But not a requirement.

    Only had a 9# and a 10#. Smallest butts at Kroger. 7# era were suggested earlier. Any input from my good friends ????

    Turbo only works on a certain thickness, otherwise the outside is overdone by the time the inside is at the right temp. The 9# should be ok, any larger and you can cut in half, and cook both halves at the same time

    Sounds good just now getting mine ready. Pics soon. Also got a big ole DO full of smoky baked beans on top. Decided to save 8# butt for later cook.

    If you don't post pics....it didn't happen....so I didn't singe eye brows and eye lashes !!!!!!!

    Got the butt on and the beans on top !!

    DO wouldn't fit on top, so I used a pan.

    I guess I'm not cooking either.....pics won't upload ???????????????

    Beans are done.  3 hrs at ~340 dome .

    They are good. Now if I could remember who had the recipe, I'd give them credit !!!

    All done at 1:15 am. I set the ole Mav, went to bed at 10pm and Mav said wake up , take the butt off the egg.

    TFCd until this morning and it is the best stufff you ever put in your mouth. After 6 weeks of perfecting brisket, it was a delight to build me a good ole pulled pork sammich this morning for breakfast.

    For lunch, I'll get some slaw and warm up the smokey baked beans.
