I'm with Kristi, my first brisket was shoe leather. I wasn't on the forum yet and pulled it at 160.

My first cook was ABTs as an appetizer. The temp gauge was off, the fire went above 500° and I cooked them direct, they came out looking like Mickey's picture, like black charcoal. I set out to prepare and cook another batch. By the time the second batch was ready, my Dad and Uncle had already eaten dinner and gone to bed!

My worst cook was yesterday. I totally ruined a Striped Bass :-/  I watched plenty of videos on how to grill a whole fish and thought I would be able to do so with relative ease.  I had the egg at 350, fish prepped, stuck it on (direct heat) and 10 minutes later went to flip it and half the fish fell apart and went through the grates.  Not sure what I did wrong, perhaps the heat was too high I don't know but I was pretty dissapointed because I was really looking forward to my first fish recipe on the egg.  Needless to say it turned into a pizza night.

Hmm, mine was my first. Not sure if that even counts.
I was setting up the egg and sent the wife out to get something to grill.
(my fault. I should have been specific.) She comes back with an Uno's
pizza in one of those plastic dishes that you are supposed to be able to
cook in. Not being used to the egg and controlling the temp, needless to
say, I ended up with melted mess and one less pizza stone.
