 Do them like this and you will always cook your steaks like this. Add a brandy mushroom cream sauce to your table and the wife will love ya !! Get the kids a sirloin and keep the other NY strip for you and the Mrs.

Cooked up the strips tonight and they turned out amazing. I'm sorry the plated picture is terrible but I ended up having the MIL over which meant that I split mine with a 3 year old who kept holding his plate for his piece. Needless to say I was rushed.

Did a reverse sear at 350 indirect with some jack Daniels chips, rubbed with dizzy pig cow lock. Then seared at 600 on a cast iron skillet. I'll try the brandy sauce next time laserdoc, got busy today.

No matter how you cook them,,,,they always turn out great and better than any place you would go out to and pay $$$$$

Nice looking steaks. I agree with lasesdoc85, I haven't bought a steak in a restaurant since buying the Egg years ago.

They were fantastic. I like strips, but they're not my favorite, but they were probably the best ones I've cooked on the egg.
