Pork butt - very slow

Got a nice bone-in pork butt, 7.8 lbs. Soaked overnight in apple juice with some Jim's Own Rub (NC product). Dumped the marinade in the drip pan, indirect with some cherry and apple chunks. On the BGE at 8 am, temps cooperated and stayed between 225 and 275 forever. Slowest cook I ever had for this size hunk of meat. Finally pulled off just after midnight at 185. Awesome outcome, all fat rendered away, very very juicy and tasty. Wife gave up at 9 am and settled for popcorn. No idea why this one took so much longer than planned but outcome was good.
