Lighting with rubbing alcohol

    I've used alcohol to light my egg every time without fail. I have noticed at colder tempuratures it is a lot more difficult. That being said, I live in Florida so it isn't much of an issue for me.
    Same here.....

    My procedure...
       1) open all vents
       2) squirt about a thumbs width of alcohol on the lump
       3) light the fluid and leave the lid open until the flames die out (about 2-3 min)
       4) after lid is closed start monitoring for my target temp and adjust vents accordingly
