Pizza

Tonight we will cook pizza's for the first time on the BGE. Dough is rising in the kitchen as I type. Really looking forward to trying this, I'm pretty sure I'll mess up, but hey that's how you learn.

    Get your self a pizza screen, it makes it so much easier. Also try cooking your first few at lower temp 450/500

    Good luck. At least pizza screw ups usually still taste good. You will do fine.

     

  • Pizza is one of my favourite cooks on the egg! I use parchment paper under the pizza, doesn't stick to the stone that way! Good luck! Enjoy!!! :D

    I go a little easy on the sauce and the toppings. Particularly any wet toppings. If you over load the top with sauce and wet toppings it is difficult not to overcook the bottom while waiting on the top. Just my 2 cents.
