We hope you all got to celebrate those tasty food holidays last week, we sure enjoyed them! We are even more excited about the beginning of fall, for so many reasons, but mainly for experiencing the cool, crisp air while being outside cooking up the best recipes the season has to offer. She thought...I thought...oh well....

Tonight we were having delicious burgers off the egg. She thought I already had buns...which I didn't and I thought since she was going to the store today she would bring home the buns. Well...it didn't work out that way and when supper time rolled around it was too late to make a 5 mile trip back to the nearest store. Sooooo, I toasted some whole wheat bread, smeared with Light House Blue Cheese salad dressing on the bottom and a favorite BBQsauce  hidden on the underneath, plus a slice of American cheese and then buttered the top of the top bread which caused the browning. This was a meal saved at the last few minutes that we just might duplicate time and time again!
