Mesquite Dutch Oven Stew

First time doing a cook requiring simmering.  Worked like a charm at 350-400 direct.  Quietly simmered and no boil over even when very full.

Used some mesquite, and the stew was smokey flavored.  Future cooks will be chili and chicken soup.

  • Great looking cook Doc!  You've inspired me.  It's a rainy dutch oven stew kinda day here in Michigan today.  Too bad I have a couple of pork loins defrosted.  Oh well, I'll just have to muddle through!
