Any leak problems with thermoworks probe

Has anyone used the thermoworks ceramic high heat probe? The ceramic probe is .16 inch thick. It was mentioned on another site that this could cause air leakage, but the egg's felt gasket might seal ok. Thanks, DS

I use the high temp probe, it did leak with my old gasket which was on its way out. Now with my new warrantied gasket which is pretty thick it does not.Edina, MN

at low and slow to maybe 450 dome it definately wont matter if it leaks. at searing or pizza temps it might cause the gasket to burn
