Labor Day Meal

The process started yesterday when I made some BBQ baked beans on the egg in my Dutch oven. Great flavor, a little too thick for me though, so I'll add more sauce next time.

This morning I put on an 8.5 lb butt with DP course grind. About 9.5 hours later, took it off to rest. Then fired the egg up to 400 and cooked some cheddar jalapeño sausage my wife picked up.

Served with slaw on King's Hawaiian roll.

While that was all great, best part of the weekend was when my wife said "If you had a second egg you wouldn't have had to do the beans yesterday."

It's working...it's working!!!
