Drunken Salmon

Got a few salmon going with Kahlua, Maple Syrup, Lemon slices and chives.

Placed indirect 350F on BGE on cedar planks. Decided to do indirect 'cause last plank direct burnt up after 1 hour under water. Probably tooo close to the fire.

Let them cook for about 15-20 minutes:

While we were eating the fish with a nice avocado salad, I shut the BGE down and placed some peaches on that had been drizzled with Gran Marnier and Dizzy Pig. When we were finished with the main course, the dessert was ready. Filled with vanilla ice cream and enjoyed. Oops forgot plated pics.

    Yes.  Just not as much as direct but nice flavor.  The Kahlua gives a nice flavor also.

    That looks good Richard, I need to try the Kahlua. I did a Salmon last week on a cedar plank an did it on a raised grid at 375 and it work great.

    Did you marinate it in Kahlua or baste it with Kahlua?

    I mixed kahlua, maple syrup and lemon pepper and basted 10 minutes before cooking.
