Is it even possible to get a packer on a medium? I really don't want to go with the flat option. Any tips would be appreciated. It is going to monsoon in ATL this weekend, but hope to get a good cook in at some point. May have to drag her into the carport since it has 12 foot ceilings and plenty of ventilation.

Many drape it over a rib rack, brick, ball of foil etc until it shrinks up during the cook, then lay flat on the grid. If any of it overhangs the heat deflector (plate setter or some type of stone) make sure to use foil to protect the exposed meat.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
