Frozen Banana Leaves

I'm making Kalua pork for my first time next weekend, and I have been gathering up things I will need.

one of the more difficult things for me to find are Banana Leaves.

I found some at a local Asian Supermarket but they are frozen. Do all Banana Leaves come frozen?

If I use the frozen Leaves is there anything to watch out for?

Frozen are perfectly fine. No worries at all.

The ones on banana trees are unfrozen.

Just kidding. They should work just fine. I have found them frozen at Mexican grocery stores in the past as well.

I have an unlimited supply of fresh banana leaves....never thought to use them to cook with.  Thanks!

Frozen should work fine or you can go to a florist and get some ti leaves fresh.  Here in Florida the fresh are not a problem.
