DP Red Eye Express help needed

I'm about to start my first overnight on the egg with an 8 lb butt. I'm thinking about using Dizzy Pig Ted Eye Express. Can anyone tell me how strong the coffee flavor is in the rubb? Also, started the fire in one spot- the center. Does that sound about right? Thanks for all the great advice on this forum.

It's not readily identifiable as coffee after cooking - it's really good.  Pile it on.

  • You could pour the whole bottle on and no one would mention coffee afterwords. Its pretty forgiving.
Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.
