My new table

Hi everybody! I am new to the forum, just bought my first egg (large) and this cypress table. I wanted to know what you guys think I should seal it with. Thanks! Love the site so far, tons of info here!

Looks nice!  I think you should seal it.  Some kind of spar paint would be the best.
This is my signature line just so you're not confused.  Love me or hate me, I am forum Marmite.

  • 2 or 3 coats of Spar varnish should do it. Looks good, glad to have you aboard. Look forward to some cook pictures

+2 on the spar...good stuff. Get something under the and damage prevention.
Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN
  • +3 on the spar.  +1 on something underneath.  I've got a table nest and am happy so far.  Welcome aboard.

  • Thanks for the responses. It looks like I shall be putting a few coats on. I suppose it would be nice to find a cover that would fit.
  • BGE makes a cover that fits over the whole table $$$$ or that just covers the dome or you can make a cover
