Burn Out

Options
Wish I had taken before pics, but alas, I did not.  Did a burn out, mainly because I had some really greasy grids, but the Egg could use it.  I also wanted to clean the pizza stone.  In my opinion a dirty stone leaves a bitter taste on the dough.

The side of the stone with the dark squares is where it was sitting on bricks, exposed to the fire.  The other side still shows some slight stains, and interestingly enough also the spots where the bricks kept it a little cooler.

Well here are the after pics.

Got it up to something over 1,000 for awhile, then put the cap on, left the bottom vent open, and went to bed.
