Porterhouse steaks

Kids are coming cover for steaks and football this afternoon. The bride got some porterhouse steaks for me to grill, will they be like cooking a ribeye sear at 600 to 700 and cook to the poke test?


  • Yes. Porterhouses can be a little trickier though since the filet side cooks a little faster than the NY strip side.

    No idea what the poke test is but I'd strongly advice to cook to temperature.  I'd pull them at 125.

    They look good on a Mini Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
