Gasket on ceramic topper, mold potential?

I replaced my mini's gasket with the high heat gasket sent by new egg. I followed what some posted in the past and layered up leftover gasket on the ceramic top, it worked to snuff out the fire and cool the egg down quicker (much quicker) if I remember correctly.
My topper now fits snug, I was wondering with the snug fit if ill be more apt to get mold on the inside? When has there been mold issues?
I layered the gasket twice over so I push the topper down to close off.
