Transporting Lg.Green Egg

Looking at entering a couple of amature cook offs and was wandering if anyone has transported a Green Egg before?  I have a large egg in a table I built and thought I would load it into a box trailer and strap it down. Any suggestions on how to transport it or whether I am taking a chance of damaging it by trailering it at all ?  Are there any precautions to look out for? Thanks for all suggestions!
