Any good recommendations for types and places to buy gloves for grabbing
meat (ie pork butts) off grill, and a meat injector?

This should cover your gloves needs and then some for under $30:

I just ordered a pair and I'm waiting on them to arrive.  I like the 400 degree protection - makes them as good or better than oven mitts.

Sorry, can't help with the injector.  Never used one.

No comment on the expressed topics but for the injecting event, cover the target meat with a cling/saran wrap before injecting.  Then inject through the wrap-keeps the stray injection fliuds contained and a much easier clean-up follows-from the school of "hard knocks".

Awesome - thanks to both...great info.

And sure I can find meat injector via google...just like to ask these questions here for info from people that use this stuff regularly for same purpose I am.

    Thanks again!

Do what lou says. Cleaning kitchen ceiling isn't fun O:-)  I bought a cheap injector for an egg fest....not my favorite.  Normally I just grab a plastic 50cc syringe  and a 12 ga needle from the lab.

I have an injector that I got at Williams-Sonoma.  Like all their stuff it is good and expensive.
