Greetings friends,

A few pics of my first spatched chicken.  New cleaver from the Asian market in town made VERY short work of that backbone ($12 - what a deal!).  We did a roaster.  Friggin' huge.  Some yellow curried vegg and pots, a few romaine hearts and radicchio grilled, and old baguette.  Slammin'.  ~350* grate direct until ~165* with the Maverick and Thermapen.  Also used the new delivery of Fruita wood (Peach).  Very mild smoke, but that may have been because I used a firebox for it.  Might go right in the lump next time.  Love that wood...  Harris Teeter brand lump on sale - $5 a bag (60 cents a pound (where is the 'cents' button?)).  Really impressed with the HT lump, though it wasn't more than mid-sized throughout.  Really delicious.  Costco has 2 roasters for $10.  Can't imagine eating chicken less than 4 days/week from now on..

Here you go - hope you likey!
