First time using egg today. Lit coals, closed lid to start low heat cooking. Temp shot up to about 500. I already put pork butt on, and wanted a temp around 250. To lower heat I closed all vents. It's about 275 now but no smoke at all. Could I have put coals out, and if so what now. 12 marines, and some friends will be here in 6 hours
