Timing for cooking 2 briskets at once
Options
brenkj
Posts: 21
I'm planning on cooking 2 whole briskets - about 10 lbs each - in my XL BGE tonight and tomorrow. In the past, I've always used the time estimate of 1-1.5 hours per pound, but that has always been for just 1 brisket. Will cooking two briskets at once change the timing at all?

Cooking time should be about the same as for one brisket as long as they are not touching. As you well know, no two hunks of meat behave the same so there will be variances but not as a result of the two pieces of meat. Enjoy-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Can you post pictures when you do it so I can see how you arranged the grid?
