how do I calibrate my thermometer

boiling water registers on BGE thermometer at 193 degrees.

With the thermometer submerged in boiling water, turn the nut on the back of the thermometer until it reads what the boiling point should be...212 at sea level...subtract a degree for every 500' up in elevation you are from sea level.

I use an open end wrench. You can make the adjustment when it is cool and retest.
I grill therefore I am.....not hungy.
