Lamb Chops cooking survey

I've always used high heat to sear my lamb chops and put nice grill marks on them; then slow them down to get to medium rare.  Pretty similar to cooking a steak of similar thickness.  I was looking through a green egg cookbook and I saw it showed cooking direct at just 300*. 

So, how do you cook your lamb chops?
