Taking the advice of many on this forum I checked the temp gauge on my new egg.
It was 20 deg low.....

You still need to check them every now and then depending on how much you use your Egg and if that is your only temp source you rely on.

I am taking tah advice also, do have a Maverick on the way so I will have two sources.

I just did the same thing after an 8lb butt only took 12 hours to cook at what I thought was 250. Turns out I was 80 degrees off and cooked at 330+/-
