Smoking a Christmas Turkey

I have a medium BGE and I want to try smoking a turkey in it this Christmas. Would it be better to use the vertical turkey roaster with a round drip pan or the v-rack with the rectangular drip pan. I have read posts saying they couldnt fit the rectangler drip pan with the plate setter and this is some concern to me since I am working with a medium egg. I'm assuming I would have to purchase the plate setter as well. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
