Dangit! My skin is splitting a bit

I always rub inside the skin on the breasts and out. I may have stretched the skin out a bit more than normal. Had a slight tear in the skin on the breast where it comes down to the cavity and just put a few stitches in to close....but after 2 hours of a projected 5 hour cook, I've the start of some skin splitting. Any suggestions on how to contain....never had this, and hope it doesn't dry out the breast. Thanks in advance, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Are you smoking or roasting that bird? My 15 pound should be done in about 2 hours, roasting indirect at 400.DavidBBQ since 2010 - Oh my, what I was missing.
