Last Nights Ribs....Pictures

This is another test on posting on this new forum

If these pictures upload, I find this much easier than using Photobucket

These are ribs smoked for 5 hours on the XL Egg with Stoker set at 250 for 4 hours and then bumped the temp to 275 for the final hour.

Sprayed with apple juice and apple cider vinegar after 3 hours and then again after 4 wrapping

Used orange wood lump and apple chips

    Those do look quite tasty!  Orange wood lump... hmmmm... does it give a bit of a citrus flavor?  Never heard of that one and being in Kentucky there isn't much orange wood around, but somewhere in there I said that would be tasty!  :)

  • To be very honest, I do not find much difference, if any, between any of the lump charcoals, except mesquite

    I find a big difference between cooking on my off-set cooker and my XL Egg

    My off-set cooker gives the meat a much more smoky flavor because I burn logs
