Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
We hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend and is excited for more warm weather grilling! This week, we’ll be making these two burgers: Stuffed Portobello Mushroom and Caribbean Chicken, and also eating lots of these Ice Cream Sandwiches in honor of National Ice Cream Month! It's time to think about getting out to one of the many #EGGfests around the country - see a list here

3 pounds of your favorite nuts;

1.5 cups of sugar;

Cinnamon, a whole bunch;

Nutmeg, a dusting;

Chile powder, type and amount of your choosing;

Salt, pinch or so;

Wet the nuts with a little bit of water, blot dry but leave them damp, toss into the mixed dry ingredients, scoop up & shake off excess, place nuts in deep fryer for one minute or until they float, remove, place back into dry ingredients & toss until nicely coated.

I like them hot, so I add a whole lot of Chipotle powder to the mix.

I did this on the mini egg, however, the consensus opinion is that for safety reasons, this is not a good idea or recommended.
