Hello to all,

I´ve currently a small discussion with a few buddies, if cedar planks are acutally a one way article, or if it´s appropriate for more than one cook ?
Points here are care of health, on the other hand are the planks not cheap over here, so it increases the costs of every plank cooks...

Opinions ?

Thanks !

I use mine more than once. If you're bringing the meat up to tempature, you are also bringing the juices rendering on the plank up also. Burn the plank a bit longer, clean and re-use.

I use 1x6 red cedar trim lumber that I buy at big box stores over here. I do my plank cooking indirect so y planks do not get overly charred. I have some that have been used a half dozen or more times, never had any sort of problem :):)
