9:30 pm temp had fallen a few times; larger butt blocking airflow around thermometer....removed, stirred, repositioned

a couple checks during the night, with temp reaching 240F from 2 am
6:50 check:

these babies were HIGH in the dome, so were probably running hotter than thermometer was reading.......

YIELD: almost 4 1/2#s + 2 bones at 1/2# in #1

plus a few nibbles for the cook and the dog :)


14 generous 1/2# bags + 1 1/4 bag to go with smoked pork stock from sausage making bones ;)

Taking 5 bags to party today as "party favors" :laugh:
One bag in fridge for #1 & Only Son's weekend snacks

The rest in freezer -- boy's gotta have food when Mom and Dad go across the Pacific later this month B)

    Looks great, what time is th party. Are you going to add anything to the pulled pork when you serve it.. just so I know when I need to cook ahead.. Thanks
