Ginger Glazed Sockeye Salmon on Wok'd Bok Choy,
with Sweet Potato, Eggplant and Portabello
and Grilled Pineapple for Desert

Lots of Pics on this 100% Big Green Egg Cooked, super healthy meal. No pics of the Wok - but guarantee the Bok Choy was wok'd on Egg #1...

This one is showing the Bok Choy a bit better

It all starts with the prep..

Have to start the spuds first on Egg #1(kids won't eat sweet potato so have some golden potatos).. Pulled spuds at the end and wok'd the bok choy while salmon was finishing on Egg #2.

Start with the Eggplant and portabellos on Egg #2 and then added the salmon on the lower rack of the Adjustable Rig....

Kept Egg #2 going for some Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head Grilled Pineapple

    Looks really good!

How'd you make the ginger glaze for the sockeye?

And I'd really like to see your wok setup... I ordered a spider from CGS... so thinking of using that as a wok stand on the egg.
  • This time I used some powdered ginger that a Chinese friend of mine recently gave me. A couple cap fulls of rice vinegar, and soy sauce, then I used a little bit of real maple syrup to make it sticky and glaze... Was good.

I use the spider too for the Wok. I close the bottom vent when woking, and if need more heat open it a little but not too far. - Here is a pic of a stir fry I did a while back:

That stir fry looks awesome... almost like a kung pao chicken!

Gonna have to get me a round bottom carbon steel wok now :D

being a newbie, have been cooking all the "easy" stuff, and other than boneless skinless clucks, and pork tenderloin, most of the stuff as been unhealthy. Love the post and your food. Now I got to get me a spider and a wok, salmon on monday it is :cheer:
