I'm heading to my first Eggfest tomorow in NH. Looks like mother nature will be kind of moody. So - should I expect that I'll be standing in the rain all day, or will there be tents and things set up? Anyone know?
Thanks,
Kim

PS - my better half is not a fan of rainy days, so I thought we would plan to arrive at 11AM. Am I really going to kick myself if we don't arrive when the festival begins?

They have a large tent and 11:00am arrival is fine. There will plenty of goodies to sample all day.

There is a big tent (was last year) so if it really gets bad you can get under cover.

I suggest that you get there as early as permissable. There are probably some from the Fri night party cooking breakfast early. Umbrellas are EGGceptable. Never having been to NH, I am guessing that there are some type of covers, if even just the large BGE tents. Have fun and take a great appetite.

The name tags didn't have people forum name, I never found you.
There was a big tent for sitting in and the rain didn't stop the fun -
Some cooks today cooking lists seemed endless what different items they made. It is interesting to see how different fests have different local dishes. The thing I missed was printed recipes that we've gotten at other fests

KUDOS to Tarantin Tank and Diane Mullaney and Co. for throwing a FABULOUS party for everyone at NewEgglandfest IV in New Hampshire yesterday. Their hard work really showed. Despite the Friday night downpours, Mother Nature came through and we all had a fantastic time. Can't wait for June 2012 for NewEgglandfest V! Thank you to all of you!

Diane, I bet you can get recipes emailed to you! I just did! :-)
