I'm a little late responding to your question you asked me on Woosday.
My wife and I took a 6821 mile drive out thru WY,ID,WA,& OR last Sept for almost the whole month. We got rained on every day we were in WA & OR but we still had a great time. I wanted to stay longer and go to southern CA then head east but my wife was getting homesick so we went back thru Nevada, UT, CO and of course the flat states but we really love the west.
