There were some posts afew weeks back about Royal Oak either going up in price or not being available at all in some Wal-Marts.
I just picked up 5 bags off a brand new pallet for $6.37/10lbs. Gulf Coast of FL.
Just wanted to pass the word :)

That's what I get and about what I pay in my neck of the woods. :)

You guys are correct, that is their everyday price, however some folks were reporting the same bag to be over $8.00 and others said they could not get it at all, started a little scare, if you know what I mean.
So I just wanted to add a follow up. Memorial Day weekend, same price, plenty on hand, bodes well for the near future :) :)
  • Exact same price in Lexington, KY. They have been running low but I'm sure their stock will rise with summer upcoming.

    Thanks Michael,
When this "scare" went around about a month ago I ran over to WW and all they had were 1/2 dozen bags from the bottom of a pallet, beat up, broken open, and showing signs of mice chewing the bags, UGH!! I bought them anyway fearing I would not be able to get more [of course, the employees don't have a clue]. So I was very happy to see that they now appear to have plenty and the price is the same. :) Just wanted to pass the word :)

Thanks Capt. I saw the same beat up bags up here recently, hoping they got in a new pallet or two. Still seems to be one of the better buys on lump going.

Gotcha, I am getting ready to head to Cincinatti a week from today. Be there through the summer. :)

For those of you that have access to a Restaurant Depot, they have bags of RO that are 17.6lbs for $7.99. I run up to Atlanta every once in awhile and always grab a few bags while I'm there. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!
