beef ribs

cooked beef ribs saturday and turned out well but had a question. my wife removed the membrane (which looked like it all came off) but after cooking we noticed the ribs looked as if they had another thin sinewy material attached. I watched her remove the membrane and it didn't look like she left any. Any thoughts or comments?
