Great weekend - went to my 35th high school reunion last night, surprisingly - everyone had aged well - most had gained weight -some of us have gray hair. We still know how to tie one on. Lunch today with my Mom, and a great meal tonight with husband. Life is good.

Elizabeth, looks like you are having good fun, what a great day & cook.

Great meal - hard to beat burger and fresh corn. (Had some fresh sweet corn last night! )
BTW, what kind of sausage is that? Store-bought? Looks kinda like the sausage made by my former brother-in-law. -
It is Conecuh sausage....the are based in Evergreen Alabama - we think it's pretty good stuff. Nothing better than a Conecuh dog with onions & peppers (I've seen them on the menus at some locally owned restaurants). It is sold all over Alabama - probably Mississippi too.

My former brother-in-law makes third generation "Polk's" sausage and hams. They are now based in Magee, MS and might distribute over into AL. Their sausage is not 'whole hog', but made from butts and other better quaIity meat and fat.
