Talked the wife into letting me give pizza a second try. I had to promise my 5 year old I would not burn the crust this time to get his ok. So wish me luck....to prove I did it I will post pictures.

ps: I am cheating a little and going with store bought dough. next time I'll try the recipe LittleChef provided.

Stay tuned...

Good Luck! if you use a plate setter or a pizza stone with spacers your crust shouldn't burn.

    Set as Serial Griller shows.
I did an eggsperiment with 3 identical pizzas last week and discovered that there is a time / temperature trade off based on how dense you load with toppings and cheese.

At just under 500*F I charred my crust waiting for cheese to melt...
At At 450 crust was better but still grey black...
At just over 400 it was purrfect :woohoo:

I suppose it is at this point that people tend to say "your mileage may vary"

    Good luck

Thanks Jay, I'm in Barrie, Ontario.

I'm of the age when we got toys in our cereal box. Moosehead has T-shirts in their case this month :silly: Now I can't resist a case of beer with a toy in it!! :woohoo:

ok, tried to post last night but the internets did not cooperate.

Pizza rolled, sauce, hamburger on some, mozzerella, and a few Jalapenos.
    P5060214.jpg
The pizza stuck to the peel even though I used caron meal, I lost some toppings to the fire and off the stone at 12:00
    P5060216.jpg
after 5 minutes I turned it and broke loose the part stuck to the stone at 12:00--not looking too bad--
    P5060218.jpg
Finished product after approx 10 minutes, not near as pretty as dugdbug but ok, a hint of burnt taste due to the lost toppings.

go easy on the critiques please, learning is half the fun right?
