Pulled these stats out of this month's National Geographic:
# o' animals killed for food worldwide in 2009

Camels 1.7 million
Water Buffalo 24 million
Cows 293 million
Goats 398 million
Sheep 518 million
Turkeys 633 million
Rabbits 1.1 billion
Pigs 1.3 billion
Ducks 2.6 billion
And if you can believe it:

Chickens 52 billion

And I didn't even eat one of each... :( [/b]

No horses???  Chickens are one of the nastiest things on earth, even free range ones. The reason everybody likes them is that they and turkeys have no taste of their own. They only taste like whatever kind of seasoning, brine, marinade, smoke you doctor them with before or while cooking. ;) They are a "blank canvas", if you will.JMHO. :)

Chicken and turkey have flavor and don't need to be covered or smothered in other flavors. JMHO

I could make out just enough to recognize it as that blurp from a newspaper lashing out at hunters, telling them to shop at the store for your meat, so it doesn't have to be killed, like wild game.

    Thanks Adam

Well I don't have nice things to say about them if that is the case. I'm not much of a hunter at this point and time in my life but, I have skinned a buck and a doe and I have run a trap line...I was a country boy and I can survive...there ain't nothing like hunting your own food and your not hunting to extinction.  I better get off this trip.

I have a big a$$ monitor and I wear prescription reading glasses and to top it off I have a strong pair of reading glasses that must be at least 3times. I guess I need to change my script.
