Just heard the President tell some of the things that would happen if they do not get the $$$ this weekend. The one that worries me is that the USDA will not have funds to have people inspect the meat/poultry supply and we who depend on those products might starve??

They could have passed their darn budget last year when they controlled both houses of congress and the WH but noooooo let's just do CRs over and over so we can play politics and try and blame the other side now that they have 1 of the 3.

Nice try on his scare tactics but I know what he can do with them.

I guess he's feeling a little out of sorts without Ms. P. to ram the will of the government down out throats. I wonder if they hear us now.

We were living in the DC area during the last shut down. They (the press and politicians) ran a like chicken little cry the same words -just like now.
Well the govt shut down, I still went to NIH everyday and worked, nothing changed and the sky didn't fall.
Well here we are again-different jackasses, same singing the same verse

Hopefully, they make the needed systemic changes, as painful as they may be, before we get into REAL trouble.......

    ..... but I doubt it.

    Fish,

i was told the military won't be receiving checks until it is worked out either. That would make the last payday tomorrow for all of them.
