Yesterday, I made some wonderful Portobellos and zucchini.. And the chicken was fantastic. This time I got the chicken from Whole Foods and it was one of the best ones I've ever gotten.

I used Dizzy Pig Shakin the Tree on the chicken. Cooked skin side down for about 10 min then converted to indirect at around 375....

On the Portobellos I marinated (gills up) with fresh minced garlic, Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and some pepper...splashed a tad of worsteshire too... On the zucchini garlic, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper and olive oil.. really nice.

I love mushrooms from the grill and zuk too (can hardly wait for some fresh fom the garden), but that will be while yet....Gotta' wait for the snow to melt.
  • Jerry, what was the difference with the chicken you got at Whole Foods? Your dinner looks delicious, and I love the mushrooms.

Those veggies look perfect, nice cook. Whole foods, Earth Fare and Publix Greenwise all have excellent chicken, and you really can tell a difference. Randy

Looks awesome! I love grilled veggies.
  • Hi Faith,

The chicken was just more tender than the ones I buy at Publix. I would have never thought there was a difference. On the wrapper it said, no hormones or antibiotics, I'm not sure this really makes a difference. Maybe I'll have to reserve judgement on those chickens til I try a few more and make a more scientific statement.
