beer can question

if I have a bird sitting on a sittin chicken and that sitting in a round drip pan do I need to use my plate setter also? I was thinking around 325 degrees til done

Shouldn't need it, but then again, I do my chicken raised grid direct.

You dont really need the can or the "sittin chicken". You can just lay the bird on the grid indirect.

IMO, the Spatchcock chicken is better than the Beer can chicken. Let us know what you think.

the spatchcocked I made the other night was perfect, will be hard to beat it ....:)
