Veal Chop & Roasted Beets

These veal chops were too good to pass up, so I got two -- this little beauty and one that is in the freezer. I seasoned the chop with some of DP's, Raising the Steaks.
I also bought two bunches of beets and roasted them on the Egg. I just rubbed them with some olive oil and roasted them until done, removed the skin, sliced them and made a balsamic vinaigrette.

It all looks GREAT! What was the difference in the taste of the regular beets compared to the Golden ones???I have been told a lot of chefs use the Golden ones because they dont "bleed" all over their dish.

I thought that the golden beets were a little better, but I would be hard pressed to tell them apart.
They are nicer in that they do not bleed all over everything, as you said.
I would like to make some risotto with roasted, golden beets. -
Bob, the veal and beets look delicious.
I'll eat veal if the calf wasn't raised in confinement....... or if someone served me a chop that looked as good as your chop. Beet as so good on the egg! -
Excellent looking meal. If you can't "beet" them, might as well join them - off to the store for some of those veggies.

Very nice and colorful. You do know you may be in danger of having consumed a healthy meal...

I appreciate the comments! The beets are really a treat when cooked on the Egg. Actually, it is pretty easy to eat healthy off the Egg.
