...is unbelievable off the Egg
Any time red meat is on the menu, these are a must for us. The flavour combination is incredible.
These are so easy because you just burn them
Some pics
On the fire and charred on all sides
Looks unedible but this is what you want
This is then put in a bowl with plastic wrap over top.
After about 10 min the skin comes off very easy
The pepper is then dizzled with good olive oil and fresh cracked black pepper and salt. Let sit for at least 15 min, longer is better
Try this with your favourite steak. Enjoy
Thanks for looking
Shane

Nice write up Shane. I knew how to do that but, never have done so. I'll have to give it a try. I know Cindy would love it.

Cindy will want them everytime you Egg
Have a great weekend

Not a problem Shane. For her anything.

True - so easy and so flavourful. And everyone watching you thinks youre nuts
Try those with some goat cheese or cream cheese and olive oil. either on its own or better on some roasted bread. :woohoo:

Will try the goat cheese idea. thanks

I just learned something.
I always do this on the grill grate (aka grid) but doing it in the embers like you did has got to be faster!
Good trick for roasting tomatillos for salsa verde too.Knoxville, TN

Shane,
That looks great. I usually do them on the grid at 700* or so but that sounds way more efficient.

Nice...Works for me!

Yes! Roasted peppers are great....we love them too.

That can also be done with your trusty weedburner when starting the Egg. Put the pepper on concrete and flame it. Has lots of time to rest with oil and S&P. Try those strips with crumbled Feta too!

So simple, yet so tasty!! Great reminder - one will join our steaks on the Egg tonight
