I'm going a little overboard for a dinner for friends tomorrow,
I just put on a butt, a shoulder, and a loin roast. It's about
15+lbs of pork. Sat overnight with my favorite rub in the fridge,
and came out about an hour ago to sit and warm up a little.[p]This time I made sure I had a cleaned out ash dump and firebox,
and added new bge lump to about 2/3 of the way up the fire ring.[p]Got the guru all set up for 225, in a little ziplock tent 'cause
it's raining, I'm going to make another one with a cutout in
the bottom for the fan, and I'm jsut gonna sit back with a whiskey
and watch it all for awhile.[p]Since I've got a Maverick, I put the guru sensor in the shoulder,
the pit temp is clipped to the grid, the Maverick probes are in
the butt (biggest hunk of meat) and the dome hole so I've got
something to watch inside.[p]Now... the fact that I had completely dead batteries in the Nikon
I can't fix. In another 1/2 hour I may peek long enough to grab
a photo, but I usually try and leave the setup alone once it's all
set and runnin'.[p]cross your finners for me!
