Osso Bucco My Way

I got hungry for some osso bucco so I decided to fix some my way. I started by browning a couple of veal shank pieces on my LG, BGE, with some pecan for flavor.
While they were getting happy, I sauteed carrots onions, celery and garlic and then added some red wine. Red wine is not traditional, but I like the flavor.
I put this in an oven at 250 and went to the movie with Susan (I highly recommend The King's Speech) and came home to this. It was fall off the bone tender!!
The marrow from the shank bones was wonderful and the veggies were excellent.

Your way looks delicious!
I enjoyed The King's Speech very much. Just as the movie started the lady sitting next to me loudly whispered to the person next to her, "Does it smell like smoke in here to you?". Next time I'll shower before agoing out to the movies. -

Thanks for the comments folks! You could do the whole cook on the egg, but I wanted to be able to leave the house and not pay any attention for a couple of hours. I could have set up my Guru, but I was also avouding time outside, so i just did the essentials.

Was you smoking Bexter?
