Planning on trying my first spatchcock chicken tomorrow and will be sharing with some friends at their place. How long will it stay at a safe temp if I double layer foil it and transport it in a warm cooler?

30 minutes to get there and that's assuming everyone's ready to eat when we get there.

Foil, wrap in towels and place in a cooler. Only thing that'll change is the texture of the skin. Keep that in mind.

I think you have nothing to worry about as far as the chicken being hot and safe.

This is just a SWAG...but I think you could keep it a coupla hours.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
